Position Title: Pharmacist

Oasis Healthcare Group Limited is Kenya’s first and largest countrywide fully integrated private healthcare system, registered in October 2015 and born out of the Oasis Group Practice model of health services provision to harmonize the various companies & facilities existing across the country under the Oasis umbrella. We currently have facilities in the following counties: Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Uasin-Gishu, Kitui, Nairobi, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Kajiado.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee all pharmaceutical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff, and deliver exceptional patient care services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff, including, pharmacy technologists, and support personnel.
  2. Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing training and development programs.
  3. Ensure adherence to all the Pharmacy & Poisons Board laws, regulations, and standards.
  4. Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to maintain accuracy and safety in medication dispensing and storage.
  5. Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and procurement of pharmaceutical supplies.
  6. Monitor medication stock levels and ensure appropriate inventory control measures are in place.
  7. Provide clinical expertise in medication therapy management, offering counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
  8. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and health outcomes.
  9. Foster effective communication and collaboration with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care delivery.
  10. Address patient inquiries, concerns, and medication-related issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  2. Current licensure from the Pharmacy & Poisons Board
  3. Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and practices.
  4. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
