Position Title: Clinical Officer

Oasis Healthcare Group Limited is Kenya’s first and largest countrywide fully integrated private healthcare system, registered in October 2015 and born out of the Oasis Group Practice model of health services provision to harmonize the various companies & facilities existing across the country under the Oasis umbrella. We currently have facilities in the following counties: Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Uasin-Gishu, Kitui, Nairobi, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, and Kajiado.

LOCATION: SIAYA, WEBUYE, ELDORET

Job Summary:

The Clinical Officer will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care, diagnosis, treatment, and patient management within the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations to diagnose and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  2. Provide medical care and treatment to patients, including prescribing medications, performing minor surgical procedures, and managing acute and chronic illnesses.
  3. Perform clinical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, catheterization, and other medical interventions as required.
  4. Coordinate patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure timely interventions and referrals as necessary.
  5. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care measures.
  6. Offer counseling on lifestyle modifications, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital protocols.
  8. Ensure proper documentation of patient information, treatment outcomes, and follow-up care.
  9. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication within the healthcare team.
  10. Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  2. Registered by the Clinical Officers’ Council of Kenya with a valid practicing license
  3. At least 2 years of experience working as a Clinical Officer in a hospital setting.
  4. Proficient in performing clinical procedures, acute care management, and medical interventions.
  5. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
