Position Title: Health Records Officer

Oasis Healthcare Group Limited is Kenya’s first and largest countrywide fully integrated private healthcare system, registered in October 2015 and born out of the Oasis Group Practice model of health services provision to harmonize the various companies & facilities existing across the country under the Oasis umbrella. We currently have facilities in the following counties: Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Uasin-Gishu, Kitui, Nairobi, Kakamega, Bungoma, Busiaand Kajiado.



Job Summary

The Health Records Officer will be responsible for managing health records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance while also managing front desk operations and providing administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and manage electronic and paper-based health records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
  2. Organize and file patient information, medical histories, diagnostic tests, and treatment plans per the hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  3. Retrieve and compile patient records for healthcare professionals, insurance purposes, audits, or patient inquiries, ensuring timely access to accurate information.
  4. Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to health records management, front office activities, and patient interactions.
  5. Ensure proper documentation of front office processes, policies, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
  6. Ensure adherence to confidentiality regulations in handling patient information and health records.
  7. Implement quality control measures to verify the accuracy and completeness of health records, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
  8. Oversee front desk operations, including patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and managing phone inquiries.
  9. Coordinate with various departments to ensure efficient patient flow and resolve administrative issues promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1.  Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology
  2. Computer proficiency
  3. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  4. Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems and MS Office Suite.
  5. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
