Job Title: IT Infrastructure Officer

Profile Introduction: Our client in fintech, is looking to on board an IT Implementation Officer in their organization.

The job holder is responsible for system infrastructure, testing, deployment and user training across all subsidiary companies.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Implement IT Infrastructure strategy, architecture and standards including voice and data network, systems and storage, systems management, virtual server technology and cloud computing to ensure effective operations.
  • Oversee the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and administration of IT infrastructure systems, including network infrastructure, servers, storage, databases, desktops / laptops, and peripherals to achieve availability, performance, and security objectives.
  • Ensure a stable and highly available enterprise cloud computing environment, including effective customer communications, problem solving, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Maintain system, network, and security disaster recovery plans, scripts, and coordinate testing.
  • Maintain and update the IT inventory of all cloud resources that are utilized by the organization.
  • Review software costs and provide a monthly report on this to the Head of Infrastructure and security.
  • Provide continuous support to the subsidiaries on infrastructure and network related issues
  • Continuously monitor the cloud environment to ensure optimal usage of resources and cut down on wastage.
  • Propose new technology that can enhance and improve the performance of the current infrastructure
  • Liaise with vendor/partner on review of network performance and infrastructure refresh.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, information systems and any other related field.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud computing.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms e.g AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP.
  • Conversant with call center applications and PBX functionality
  • Proficient in managing Cisco network routers and switches.
  • Proficient in managing Meraki and Fortigate firewall solutions
