Position Title: Sales Executive


Our client, an insurance brokerage company, seeks to on board a Business Development Executive with Insurance background in their organization. The role holder will develop and execute strategies to increase company sales and profits, identify profitable business opportunities, secure sound business deals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and creating innovative strategies to increase sales and revenue for the company.


  • Secure new GI business through intermediaries.
  • Retain existing GI business as per set objectives.
  • Maintain excellent customer service to intermediaries and clients.
  • Service existing business and resolve customer complaints.
  • Follow up on renewals for general insurance business.
  • Forward proposal forms to underwriting department.
  • Prepare weekly and daily reports as required.
  • Respond to customer and client enquiries. Developing and sustaining solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers.
  • Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services.
  • Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning.
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with company executives to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities.


  • Bachelors’ degree in a business-related field.
  • Professional qualification in Insurance (DIP ACII, DIP IIK, ACII, IIK) is an added advantage.
  • 2-4 year’s sales experience in the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software and other relevant sales tools
  • Prior experience in a business development, sales or marketing role, preferably in the insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to identify potential business opportunities, track market trends and competition, and develop strategies for growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Fluency in English and Swahili is required.
