Job Title: Position: Graphic Designer
Key accountabilities
- Create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts
- Develop graphics and layouts for products illustrations, company logos and internet websites layouts
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches or material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes
- Talk to clients to get a clear understanding of their visual communication requirements and develop design ‘roughs’ (sketches) and producing accurate and high-quality design work
- Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialist.
- Answer phones, respond to customer enquiries and/or accept and transfer correspondence to appropriate parties.
- Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design – Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them – Review final layout and suggest improvements etc.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or any related field with proven graphic designing experience
- Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Demonstratable Graphic Design Skills with a strong portfolio; Photography skills – added advantage
- Must portray professionalism regarding active listening, attention to detail, time and meeting deadlines
