Position Title: Smallholder Farming Project Manager (Agri Business)
Must be a Tanzanian National
Main Purpose: Plan and Implement projects to strengthen our value chain partnership to deliver a customized solution to smallholder farmers in Tanzania.
Location: Tanzania – Mwanza
Direct Reports: 2
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and scale up the partnership project.
- Identify geography, Partners, and farmers for the Smallholder projects in Tanzania for the approved crops.
- Prepare detailed workflow for the full season for each crop
- Identify and onboard consultants into programme as required.
- Registration of farmers well before the season
- Carry out monthly farmer training programs.
- Develop the tour plan and field visit plan of his/her team.
- Identify and onboard Agri Entrepreneurs
- Prepare business plan for Bayer and the partners.
- Develop and share the monthly progress reports

- Crop Science Commercial – East Africa
- CS Functions – Sales, Marketing, Market development
- External Partners
- Distributors in Country
Qualifications & Competencies
- A university degree, MSc. preferred in Agriculture
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in sales and marketing.
- Candidates with experience in smallholder segment would be preferred.
- Ability to relate well with people at different levels of authority.
