Position Title: TCN Kitchen General Service Labourer (Waiter)
Reports to: Catering Manager / Site Manager
Location: Mogadishu, Somalia (British Embassy)
Salary: USD 420.00
Rotation Leave: 3 weeks for every 26 weeks worked.
Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Skills
- Have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role and have a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Local security clearance required
- Must be medically fit
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and conscientious
- Flexible attitude
- Must maintain safety rules and have the capabilities to work at speed
- Able to complete Level 2 food safety course
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out all duties as directed by the TCN Labour Supervisor and Contract Manager
- To maintain and correct storage of cleaning equipment
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
- Have a full working the cleanliness of the kitchen, ancillary and outside areas as detailed. Maintain the cleanliness
- knowledge of all cleaning equipment materials and agents
- Report equipment defects to the TCN Labour Supervisor
- Maintain high standards of operational and personal hygiene
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Receive continuation training
- Attend all staff meetings as directed
- Set up catering functions as required
- Provide waiting services for functions as required
- Undertake any other tasks as directed to fulfil the contractual requirements
- Continue to develop one’s own skills and knowledge within the position
- Good English speaker
