 Position Title: Immigration Advocate

Our client CM ADVOCATES LLP is a premier legal and business advisory firm in Kenya and within the East Africa Community (EAC) providing its customers with a one-stop-shop for their legal and business advisory needs. They are seeking to fill the following position:

Immigration Advocate

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for processing permits; obtain and renew all work permits, special passes, and residence permits for our clients
  • Guiding clients on documentation requirements for work permits and special pass applications
  • Ensure timely submission of applications and monitoring responses on the online ecitizen and efns immigration accounts
  • Responsible for processing entry and exit visas, visa extensions, driving licenses, and authentication of documents.
  • Systematically maintain files of hard and electronic documents related to work permits and residence permits; by ensuring an up-to-date record including work permits applications tracking.
  • Providing weekly updates on the status of all applications
  • Writing advisory articles related to Immigration

Qualifications, Experience, and knowledge:

  • Second Class Upper Degree Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
  • At least two years' experience working in a similar role
  • Insure immediate flow of information of a high level of communication, negotiation, and excellent listening ability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and good networking skills
