Position Title: Data and Systems Lead (Finance & HR)

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Data and Systems Lead (Finance & HR) to support our rapid scale and needs for organized, relevant data & systems in the CFO Office. You will work within the CFO office to provide critical support to Finance Operations and controls, Financial Planning & Analysis and People Operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your data analytics and systems expertise to optimize processes, streamline operations, and facilitate informed decision-making within these departments. You will succeed in your role by having a highly collaborative and service-oriented mindset, as you will be required to collaborate with team members within the CFO Office and in other departments as well (mostly Tech and Data).

JOBS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collaborate with the tech and data teams. Develop and maintain comprehensive databases for Finance & HR data, conduct data analysis, and generate insightful reports.
  • Business analysis: Support the FP&A team to design and build tools and models that support our business analysis, planning and forecasting.
  • Systems Management: Collaborate with the Tech department to administer and enhance existing systems (HRIS, financial software, etc.) to ensure efficiency and accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancement within Finance and People Operations.
  • Data Integrity Assurance: Implement protocols to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all finance and HR systems and databases.
  • Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate existing systems and identify system integrations across CRM, Finance ERP, HRIS and Payroll system to ensure smooth data flow and automation. Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies or systems that could improve operations and data management within both departments.
  • Project Support: Assist in special projects related to data analysis, systems implementation, or process improvement initiatives led by the CFO office.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with the Tech team to Evaluate third-party data processing activities, ensuring vendors comply with data protection regulations.
  • Create and manage dashboards and other information delivery services for internal customers. Lead in reviewing, testing and implementing system upgrades or patches.
  • Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Finance and People Operations teams to understand their data and system requirements, providing functional and technical support and training as needed.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, systems management, or a similar role, preferably in a finance or HR-related setting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data analytics tools (such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python, etc.) and experience working with databases and HRIS/financial systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
