Our client, a mall in Nairobi, is seeking to hire a Plumber.
The Plumber will be in charge of Installations, maintaining, and repairing pipes and fixtures associated with water distribution, and sanitation systems at the mall.
He/she will inspect drainage and other plumbing systems for compliance with regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of blueprints for repair, expansion, and new tenant installation of drainage systems.
- Ensure no leaks, wastage or interruption of service to clients and tenants
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and pipefitters in plumbing.
- Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair
- Write reports
- Procurement and stock keeping of fittings, tools, and plumbing equipment.
- Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
- Supervise and facilitate the contracted waste collection, cleaning, and landscaping of onsite attendants
Required Specifications
- Relevant professional certification in plumbing
- 3 years of experience serving as a grade of artisan I or in a comparable position
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Honesty and accountability
- Proven integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results
- Team player
- Innovative and creative in problem-solving
- Flexible to work night shift , public holidays and weekends
