Position Title: Finance Volunteer

Overview of the Organization: Inades Formation is a pan- African organization working in ten (10) African countries namely, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Chad, Cameroon, Togo, Congo DR, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.

The network has a General Secretariat at Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. Inades Formation Kenya (IFK) is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with mandate to work anywhere in Kenya for Economic and Social advancement of the people.

Inades Formation Kenya is currently looking for a young, enthusiastic, and results driven Finance Volunteer to assist in the Finance Department for a period of not more than six months.

Job Purpose: This opportunity is for someone who has a strong interest in pursuing a career in Finance, allowing you to test your abilities and further explore your career interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving supporting documents to specific Accounts and transactions once identified to confirm if the transaction genuine.
  • Updating and arranging the physical finance vouchers in line with the Integra references
  • Support in stamping finance vouchers and filing as per IFK documents retention policy.
  • Monitor staff login in the field sense App.
  • Assist with making mobile money transactions using Mpesa online, running name verification reports against the support documents provided.
  • Support in reviewing support documents to ensure completeness.
  • Assist in the thorough audit of all transactions at point of entry ensuring appropriate purchase order matching, credit terms and adherence to appropriate authorization and budget confirmation and clearance.
  • Any other responsibility that may be allocated from time to time.

Requirements

Applicant must have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Bachelor of Commerce, Finance or Accounting specialization. CPA/ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
