Telecommunications Team Leader Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our Client, in the Telecommunications sector seeks to recruit a Team Leader to manage the sales team in selling and managing the distribution of Communication products and services (Airtime, SIM Cards, Mobile Financial Services & Devices) to resellers and distributors within the assigned territory.

Primary Reporting: Zonal Manager

Locations: Nairobi, Mombasa & Central

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue through push of Consumer, Financial and Enterprise products through partners.
  • Identify and recruit viable partner outlets as per allocated target in the TDR’s area of coverage.
  • Drive revenue through any new streams introduced by the business within allocated territory.
  • Train customers on the brands products and services.
  • Timely delivery of prerequisite business tools to customers.
  • Create awareness for all the business products and resolve first line escalations in the assigned zones.
  • On boarding of new businesses on to the business products and services, through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Ensuring activation and full operation of products sold to customers within SLA.
  • Profiling of customers, maintaining a dynamic database, execution of sales initiatives in the clusters, visit at least 80%of SME customers.
  • Visit all Retail Outlets and Agents regularly using agreed route plans.
  • Visit enterprise customers as post sales follow up.
  • Ensure partners understand & adhere to the stock rules at all times in order to grow transactions.
  • Ensure availability of airtime across all stocking outlets and recruit new outlets as per agreed penetration targets.
  • Ensure business partners and MFS outlets maintain and complete the daily sales and target tracker for outlets and sales teams.
  • Escalate to the TBL any distribution gaps within the allocated Area and follow up to ensure they are closed.

Qualifications – Academic and Professional

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field

Experience

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in sales and distribution role in Telco/FMCG
