Position Title: Mechanical Technician

Our client, a leading Plastics Manufacturing firm based along Mombasa Road seeks to recruit a dynamic, results oriented energetic and self-driven individual for the Position of Mechanical Technician.

Job title : Mechanical Technician

Department : Production

Salary Range: Kshs 35,000/= Gross plus overtime

Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Number of Positions: 0ne (3) Positions

Placement: Immediate

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Injection Molding machines, Blow Molding Machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in Scheduling and undertaking periodic maintenance on all mechanical equipment, components, and installations
  • Assist in ensuring that equipment are in good working order so as to prevent disruption of activities
  • Assist in Installation of fresh mechanical components and fittings
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine breakdowns and providing preventive maintenance services
  • Assisting in carrying out quality inspections on mechanical jobs
  • Assisting in ensuring equipment are properly maintained to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Person Specification (Qualifications and relevant work experience)

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in the plastic molding industry
  • Ability to read schematics and manuals highly desired
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Injection Molding machines, Blow Molding Machinery and equipment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
