A company located in Machakos County dealing with the processing and packaging of fruits and vegetables is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician.
Salary Range: 30K – 40K
Job Description: The technician will be responsible for maintenance, repair and servicing of a wide range of factory equipment such boilers, pumps, mechanical handling systems, compressors, blowers etc
Duties;
- Perform all mechanical repairs as required to ensure that the plant is operating optimally
- Perform all preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, inspections, lubrication as per maintenance schedule
- Monitor Equipment performance and reliability
- Should be able to perform welding and fabrication tasks when necessary
- Ensure proper documentation and records
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent course
- O-Level Education
- Understand the basics of Food Safety
- Successful candidates should be available to report immediately
Experience: –
- 5 Years in a similar role in a Food Manufacturing Company
