Position Title: Instrumentation Technician
Job Location: Nakuru
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct tasks related with maintenance and operations team.
Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs.
Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems.
Ensure to commission instrumentation effective following with repair and replacement.
Conduct test related to functional performance on instrumentation as needed by facility changes.
Involve in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities.
Ensure conformance with environmental and safety requirements commensurate with executing required instrument maintenance or replacement activities.
Maintain and update awareness of modifications to regulatory needs related to conduct of maintenance and construction of instrument.
Ensure to interpret and suitably use ISA and CSA codes along with API installation practices and standards.
Conduct on-going aseptic maintenance and clean room area.
duties requiring a high degree of skill in the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic power-plant instruments.
Requirements
Good knowledge variable speed drives
Attending break down and troubleshooting with minimum down time.
Knowledge on processing instruments like thermocouple, temperature controllers and proximity switches.
Experience with plant control valves, electrical distribution and industrial instrumentation for flow: Level, pressure, and temperature.
Good knowledge Siemens PLC networks
Responds immediately to equipment-related problems and installs, maintains and troubleshoots and repairs all machines in the plant to ensure minimal downtime.
Replacement of faulty electrical components such as relays, switches and other measuring instruments
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, electrical, mechanical background, KRONES/SLeever operation and maintenance
- Experience in food/beverage/bottling/ dairy/FCMG industry is an added advantage.
