Position Title: Procurement Associate

Position Summary: The Procurement Associate will be responsible for maintaining inventory stock and records; determine appropriate stock levels; receive and check in supplies.

Track purchase orders and work with vendors on issues and product quality.

Provide technical assistance on procurement processes; maintain detailed records and reports.

He/She will be reporting to the Head Supply Chain Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to;

  • Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Source and engage reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Creating, Overseeing, and managing the tools/systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
  • Preparing procurement reports.

More Details on Experience

  • BSc degree In Purchase and Supply/Business Management Procurement option.
  • 2 years’ experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Registered by KISM will be an added advantage
