HRO (Planning & Staff Development) Job Vacancy in Nairobi, Kenya

One of our clients in the Manufacturing Industry is urgently looking for a Suitable candidate to fill HRO (Planning & Staff Development  position in Nairobi.

Main Purpose of the Job

As a part of the HR Team, develop, advise and implement various human resources policies, procedures and systems as well as provide support in human resources functions including recruitment, training and development, performance management and employee counseling.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities to ensure skills gaps and performance related obstacles are addressed.
  • Support the HR & Admin Manager in the performance management function by ensuring performance planning and review has been done and that effective performance improvement programs have been initiated and closely followed to completion where needed.
  • Create a consistent compensation guideline that matches our work and organizational culture
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Prepare and implement company learning strategies and programs quarterly
  • Analyze training needs through exploring jobs٫ career paths٫ annual performance appraisals and consulting with line managers
  • Take a proactive approach to HR compliance, legislation, and risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed, and reported and, where appropriate, escalated.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or other relevant degree. A higher diploma in HR or CHRP
  • Must be a registered member with IHRM
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role. Manufacturing/FMCG background is an added advantage.
  • Preferably someone who has a training and development background.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment.
