Job Title: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER II

Job Description

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under supervision of a senior officer.

Terms and Conditions of Service

  1. Basic Salary                  Kshs. 62,339 - 78,725 PM
  2. House Allowance            Kshs. 16,500 PM
  3. Commuter Allowance      Kshs. 4,000 PM
  4. Leave Allowance             Kshs. 15,000 PA
  5. Annual Leave                               30 working days PA
  6. Medical Cover and other allowances          As provided by the ODPC
  7. Terms of Service                                   Permanent and pensionable
 
Job Specification

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean grade C+ (Plus) or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
  2. Bachelor’s degree in either Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration (Supplies Management option) or Commerce (Supplies Management option) or its equivalent qualifications from recognized and accredited institution;

OR

          Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce plus a Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent from a                    recognized and accredited institution;

       iii. Registration with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies or relevant                            recognized professional body; and

       iv.Proficiency in computer applications.

 Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities at this level will entail;

  1. Preparing statutory reports (Direct Procurements, Quarterly reports, Termination of Procurements);
  2. Monitoring contracts and vendor performance;
  3. Maintaining an effective stores management system;
  4. Secretary to the tender opening, processing, evaluation and disposal Committees;
  5. Carrying out expenditure analysis and preparation of exceptional reports;
  6. Managing of records of all procurement processes;
  7. Carrying out market surveys;
  8. Preparing disposal certificates and disposal reports; and
  9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Principal Supply Chain Officer.
