One of our clients in Technology Space based in South Sudan is urgently looking for a Project Manager.

Main Purpose of the Job

The Manager will be responsible for planning, tracking and reporting on resources, projects and performance as well as Quality Assurance.

He / She will ensure that projects are delivered on time, budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications).

He/she will also ensure that projects are effectively resourced and will manage relationships with a wide range of groups (including all project stakeholders).

The Job Holder will also be responsible for managing the work of different clients, allocating and utilizing resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful project team.

Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
    definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Managing and leading the project team.
  • Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.
  • Monitoring project progress and performance.
  • Working closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs.
  • Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user training programmes

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in Business/ICT/Project Management or any other related field.
    Project Management professional qualifications in PMP/PRINCE2/ AGILE or similar qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • 5 years’ experiences as a Project Lead in managing small and big projects for various clients.
  • A good understanding of managing projects in a changing business environment.
  • Ability to manage teams; identify and secure needed resources; escalate conflicting priorities; influence team members and business leaders to successfully execute.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements and/or reach consensus with all levels and positions within the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competencies in championing customer focus.
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization.
