Position Title: Factory Supervisor – HR

Location: Nairobi
Responsibilities
- Maintain a pool of manpower Resources for all staff who can be deployed to assist in running Operations (Their Location, wellness, availability and close contacts).
- Accountable to HRMC and representing the employer articulates all issues affecting the staff directly to HRMC Management/Leadership.
- Implement the disciplinary procedures to all staff deployed in the Factory.
- Being Key link person, briefs HRMC staff in the company on all topical issues of interest as communicated from the HRMC HR Manager.
- Maintain paperwork and records related to HRMC activities on site including summaries of wage payments claims and dues.
- Grievance handling in Liaison with the Supervisor on all issues involving HRMC Staff within the company’s operations.
- Responds to manpower deficit by calling in replacements from the approved pool.
- Managing emergency issues e.g Hospitalization, Ambulance call ins, any security concerns etc affecting HRMC staff.
- Enforcing Compliance requirements affecting HRMC staff and maintaining records which provide proof of compliance e.g Medical examinations, statutory documents etc.
- Driving a positive health and safety culture among HRMC staff in e.g by Managing PPEs.
- Laundry and personnel Hygiene-Ensuring issuing of work wear materials sound Laundry management and overall staff hygiene.
- Manpower planning, allocation and communication to all HRMC staff including calling individual staff if necessary to communicate changes to shift plan.
- Canvassing for staff with HRMC Management on matters affecting staff welfare or other matters of staff interest.
- Planning and supervision of Plant housekeeping deployment (to include continuous cleaning of the factory, floor drainages or any other areas as advised from time to time) etc.
Skills Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resource Management or a Business related field
- Higher Diploma in Human Resources is an added advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in entry level HR position in a busy manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- Sound understanding of labour laws and other national legislations related to labour.
- Comprehensive understanding of all the HR functions with the ability to develop, implement and coordinate various initiatives in each of these function
