Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design attractive menus
  • Develop a relationship with regular customers
  • Follow food and safety regulations
  • Order food supplies for the kitchen
  • Develop and manage all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for the Food and Beverage department.
  • Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
  • Utilize budgets to understand financial objectives.
  • Supervise and manage employees in the F&B departments
  • Manage all day-to-day operations in the department
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decision making; demonstrate honesty/integrity; leads by example.
  • Oversee all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations.
  • Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing service.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all employees.
  • Respond quickly and proactively to employee’s concerns.
  • Provide a learning atmosphere with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Provide proactive coaching and counseling to team members.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees.
  • Ensure that customers are satisfied with food and service
  • Create restaurant policies
  • Hire and train new restaurant staff

Key Requirements and Skills

  • Degree/ Diploma in Hotel Management/ F&B or Catering
  • 5 years’ experience in a busy hotel/Restaurant as an F&B Manager or Supervisor
  • Team management, leadership & team player
  • Effective management: delivering profitability
  • In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of related computer software, including restaurant management software.
  • Ability to adhere to budgets and meet financial targets.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to forecast food and beverage needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Great delegation skills.
