Position Title: Electrical Technician
Terms: Contract
Client: Manufacturing
Job Purpose: The Electrical Technician will be mainly liable for electrical installations and the harmless
handling of equipment’s and units in the factory and will also be accountable for carrying out routine maintenance activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducting standard routine maintenance checks on all the equipment’s and machines in the
factory. - Diagnosing technical faults and making sure immediate patches of the same.
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment,
appliances, and apparatus. - Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Satisfying all commercial policies and the Occupational Safety and Health guidelines (OSHA)
while implementing various jobs. - Planning routine maintenance activities in a way that the output as well as development of the
plant is not hindered or interfered with. - Maintaining a file of all repair as well as overhauling carried out on the plant equipment.
- Appropriately utilizing and managing all repair devices and equipment’s.
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Ensuring that TPM objectives of the company are implemented.
Qualifications & Skills
- A Higher diploma in electrical engineering or any other related field of study
- Work experience of 3 years as an electrical technician.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Potential to adequately oversee time and complete all assigned tasks in time
- Good understanding of all industry specific safety norms and procedures.
