Position Title: Boiler Operator
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Vipingo, Kilifi County
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain systems by scheduling regular inspections, cleanings, filter replacement and all other tasks necessary to keep all components performing optimally; identify and repair or replace malfunctioning components
- Perform accurate record keeping for operations and repair work orders for all planned and repair maintenance
- Ensure the smooth operation of heating and refrigeration systems
- perform advanced casualty control procedures to minimize damage to equipment and personnel.
- Ensure optimal and continuous operation of mechanical systems by performing routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering equipment and adjusting levels as necessary
- Ensure safety by monitoring safety equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate steps to suspend operations and repair the problem.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Diploma of Mechanical engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry handling boilers, specifically edible oil industry.
- Hold boiler certification or NITA certificate.
- Fully understanding of the industrial safety procedures.
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skill.
