Our client, a leading general Manufacturing Company is seeking for a highly skilled and qualified Human Resource Manager who will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices..

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to the company’s personnel.

Their duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll and behavior and onboarding new employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills)

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines:- Human Resource Management/Development/Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Master’s Degree from a recognized institution is an added advantage.

Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies/Chapter Six of the Constitutions

  • Higher Diploma in HRM / Post Graduate Diploma in HR / CHRP (K) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Practicing Certificate from IHRM updated to 2022
  • Computer applications from a recognized institution; and
  • Meets the provisions of chapter six of the constitution.

Previous relevant work experience required.

  • Have ten (10) years HR experience with at least three (3) years served in the grade of Manager,
  • Human Resource or comparable senior position in the same industry.
