Oshwal Academy Mombasa is a private school owned and managed by Oshwal Education & Relief Board offering the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC), International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), Cambridge Assessment International education (IGCSE, A/S and A’ Levels) and Pearson EDEXCEL International.
The Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced Art & Design Teacher to teach in the Senior School.
The teacher should be highly competent in Art and Design.
Skills and Competence:
Qualifications:
- A graduate with Bachelor of Education degree with specialisation in Art and Design from a recognised institution.
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
Experience:
- At least five years’ demonstrable teaching experience in IMYC, IGCSE. A/S and A’ Level.
- Alternative curricula experience will be preferred such as Cambridge Assessment International
Education. - Demonstrable technical and academic knowledge of ICT.
- Knowledge of technical content delivery in a variety of examinable syllabi IMYC Edexcel,
Cambridge, (IGCSE, A/S and A’ Level). - Experience in teaching Art and Design to key stages 3 to 5.
- Good intra and interpersonal skills.
- Good ethical standards.
- Knowledgeable in modern pedagogy and demonstrable teaching practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Innovative and creative individual.
- Good planning and organisation skills.
- Good in meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability and proven willingness to support clubs and other co-curricular activities.
