Position Title: Network Project Manager
Description
Our client, an international company in the financial services industry, is seeking to recruit a Network Project Manager for a 1 year contract role to deliver a WAN connectivity project in several African countries.
The incumbent will be joining a tightly knit team with strong and diverse background in cloud infrastructure engineering, application development, traditional system administration, DevOps and cloud native technologies.
This is a unique opportunity to be deeply involved in the growth and evolution of the company's cloud platform, built by very talented people.
Responsibilities include:
- End-to-end project delivery to ensure it will meet deadlines.
- Produce high level project timeline.
- Engage Local Business Units to socialize the project/rollout/implementation plan.
- Work with Local Business Units and Delivery Engineer to come up with implementation schedule.
- Raise and own all Change Requests required for the delivery of the project.
- Responsible for physical delivery plan of the devices (including the paper works, permits, etc)
- Responsible for physical installation plan of the devices (including racking, cabling, local engineer permits, etc)
- Engage, communicate and keep all stakeholders up-to-date in a timely and effective manner in all aspects of the project progress.
Requirements:
- At least 7-10 years of relevant experience in IT Technical Project Management role within the Insurance / Financial Services industry.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, IT Service Management, IT Operations and IT security domains and demonstrable track record of successful delivery of large-scale complex Network and Data Center Projects.
- Able to communicate with and manage key stakeholders.
- Good presentation, analytical, articulation and inter-personal skills.
- Able to drive a structured approach towards project management effectiveness and the ability to motivate both internal and external project team members.
