Position Title: Educational Technology Specialist / E-Learning Specialist

Job Summary

IRES has developed an online training platform (LMS) which combines training and support features.

We seek to recruit an aggressive, confident, fluent, mature and creative Educational Technology Specialist (Ed-Tech) who will help up convert our training materials to online version and upload them on our LMS.

The Ed-Tech Specialist will report directly to the Training Officer.  

Key responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Develop and design learning material, coordinate, and review educational content, and incorporate current technology in developing specific eLearning curriculum.
  • Support the deployment of learning programs including uploading and updating courseware and curriculum, training assignments, learner notification text and rules in LMS.
  • Develop Video Lessons with voice (using British voice, male & female) Slide deck with Voice Over Tests and Quizzes, Case Studies.
  • Development of Course Assessment Tools
  • Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.
  • Utilize LMS reporting capabilities and develop custom reports to assist with planning and managing the company’s training and development initiatives.
  • Manage eLearning content to ensure it is compatible with the LMS.
  • Work with Graphic Designers, and programmers to support eLearning content requirements.
  • Run demos of the system and provide training to staff and other users.
  • May facilitate live and recorded learning
  • Other duties as assigned.


The consultant will have the following minimum skill set:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in training, adult education, and/or multimedia training materials development.
  • Experience with a Learning Management System as a developer or administrator.
  • Experience in working with similar projects (Capacity building experience)
  • Experience developing online training content/converting instructor-based learning to online format.
  • Working knowledge of course structure in Learning Management Systems
  • Experience with HTML and audio and video editing software preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and collegially with all staff especially with IT, Communications, and Marketing.
  • Ability to solve technical problems independently or in teams.
  • Has a good team spirit and positive attitude.
  • Masterly of English with Clear Communication Skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
