Our Client, a leading player in the Transport Sector, seeks to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in Nairobi.
Position Title: Public Relations Officer
Starting Salary (Basic): 50,000
Key Responsibilities
- To manage the reputation and image of the company, clients and stakeholders.
- Use all forms of media and communication channels to build, maintain and manage the reputation of the company and clients.
- Communicate key messages, often using third-party endorsements, to defined target audiences in order to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between an organization and its public.
- Monitor publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of the company and stakeholders.
- Provide relevant reports and feedback to the company for internal and external use.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BSc/BA in PR, Journalism, Communication, Advertising, or similar field
- At least 2 years of experience leading a PR department/firm
- Strong contact & corporation with media houses
- Solid knowledge of social media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker & Speech writer
- Ability to build strong relationships with key people or organizations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadline
- A creative mind collaborated with the ability to find the best practical solutions
- Should possess advanced editing, copy writing, and proofreading skills.
