Kentegra Biotechnology Ltd located at the EPZ Athi River is looking for Maintenance Supervisor.
The key responsibilities for this role include:-
- Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
- Preparing monthly and weekly maintenance schedules and allocating work to the team.
- Supervising contractors during installations.
- Contributing to the development of maintenance budget and ensuring compliance.
- Monitoring inventory of materials and equipment.
- Participating in coordinating of projects (e.g. renovations).
- Ensuring adherence to Quality Standards and Health and Safety Regulation.
- Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.
- Training and supervise employees of the maintenance department.
- Undertaking performance management responsibility for team members, conducting appraisals and giving direction to enhance good performance.
- Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
- Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work.
- Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs.
- Maintaining all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
- Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
- Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
- Assigning maintenance schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
- Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
Qualifications, skills and work experience required for this role:-
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Work experience of at least 5 (five) years in a manufacturing or production set-up.
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation OSH 2007.
- Good IT proficiency.
- Good report writing skills.
- Possess excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- High problem solving skills.
- High Analytical skills.
