Amaco Sales and Marketing Manager Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our Client, Africa Merchant Assurance Company Limited (Amaco) are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager.

He/she will be responsible for promoting the company’s businesses, services, products, and brand awareness.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop sales and marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Development and generation of new market business leads & pricing strategies
  • Promote the company’s products & services to increase market share, increase brand awareness
    and oversee the company’s attendance at major industry‐related events.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative sales strategies, business development, and coordination of marketing activities
  • Oversee the design, branding, advertising, and production of promotional materials such as website and brochures
  • Analyzing market trends, preparation of forecasts, and liaising with third‐party marketing agencies
  • Development and management of the marketing team’s budgets
  • Promoting strong client engagement, retention, and attraction strategies
  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and professional development to the sales and marketing team
  • Establish and maintain business partnerships with key stakeholders both internally and externally


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or any related field from a reputable institution
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
  • Marketing Society of Kenya, Chartered Institute of Management Professional qualification or its
    equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Member of MSK, CIM, or relevant professional body
  • Min. 8 years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Sales and Marketing Manager,
    preferably in the insurance or banking sectors
  • Experience in identifying and developing new market opportunities
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding
  • Strong commercial business acumen with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company including reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills
  • High level of integrity; Able to maintain utmost confidentiality of information in their possession
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‐solving skills
  • Strong organizational and creative thinking skills
  • Excellent leadership, team building, decision making, and presentation skills
