Position Title: Business Executive

Location: Nairobi

Our client in trade industry, is seeking to recruit a Business Executive.

Successful candidate will be responsible for supporting in the organization’s business development activities.

Key Accountabilities:

Business Development

  • Build networking and establish relationship with professionals and business associations to acquire new customer base and potential collaboration / new business opportunities
  • Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnership with the industry and related industries for the benefit of the association and its members.
  • Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning.
  • To perform any other tasks as assigned by Chief Representative from time to time.
  • Using networks and online research, identify and qualify new leads.
  • Follow up on any leads, clearly providing pertinent facts.
  • Use telephone, email, and internet contact to build and maintain strong connections with new and existing partners.
  • Become a product expert and be able to effectively present the Organisations services to current and new customers.
  • Meet sales targets and KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

  • Prepare departmental/ sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Dubai requirements, policies and quality standards

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or relevant field.

Minimum Experience and Skills

  • 5 – 10 years of experience in sales, marketing in Membership Organizations or Associations
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Good knowledge of the local market.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in English and Kiswahili
  • Proficiency in French will strongly be desired
