Position Title: Research Assistants (16 Positions)

Location: Makueni, Nzaui, Kaiti, Kibwezi East, Kibwezi West, Mbooni East, Mbooni West and Kilome.

Duration: 5 days

CMMB Kenya is currently funded by Global Fund as a sub-recipient of Amref Health Africa to implement
various TB activities in Makueni and Machakos counties.

The program aims at contributing to the provision of quality care and prevention services for all people in Kenya with Tuberculosis as well as contributing to the attainment of universal health coverage through comprehensive TB/HIV prevention, treatment, and care.

In line with the program’s objectives, CMMB seeks to conduct organization development systems strengthening training to local civil society organizations in Makueni County.

Scope of work: To conduct organization capacity assessment exercise to selected civil society organizations (CSOs) across Makueni County.

Reports to: Project Officer

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Mapping of CSOs across the various TB control zones within Makueni county.

2. Sensitizing of CSO representatives on the program purpose

3. Conducting data collection exercise to CSOs as per the assessment questionnaires

4. Data verification, validation and report writing

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

1. Be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in Community Health, Public Health, Social Sciences, or an equivalent

2. Previous experience in collecting qualitative data with a reputable organization

3. Able to work within deadlines with minimum supervision; and work odd hours

4. Must be a resident of Makueni County and able to communicate in the local Kamba dialect

5. Possess a pleasant personality with strong, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

6. Proficiency in MS Office

Terms of engagement: The successful candidates will be engaged on short term basis (5 days).
