Position Title: Building Information Modeling (BIM) Consultant Trainers
Based in Mombasa, Nakuru, Nairobi & Kisumu.

Job Summary: The trainer/facilitator will develop and deliver outstanding training and workshop activities that engage clients, meets their learning objectives and contributes to the program’s overall performance and targets.
Additionally, the trainer/facilitator will regularly review their workshop practices to maximize the client’s participation, satisfaction and success.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting clients with BIM execution plans and general technology planning, protocols, or workflows.
- Coordinating designs amongst multiple disciplines
- Be responsible for developing training materials and facilitation of programs for our clients on operation of design applications.
- 3D modeling using Autodesk Revit or other 3D applications
- 3D laser scanning field acquisition and processing
- Building Information Model (BIM) setups and project technology planning for our clients.
- Obtain, organize, and develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
- Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles.
- Facilitate formal and informal workshops and learning experiences for large and small group presentation, continually incorporating adult learning principles into training delivery.
- Ensuring quality training and assessment occur in accordance with the content to be presented, including but not limited to workshops, webinars, and conferences.
- Deliver “high impact”, engaging and appropriate training for the participants.
- Draw on previous experience to assist participants with “real life” situations and to illustrate the point being trained on.
- Submission of training materials and reports to IRES at the end of a workshop.
- Reporting/Liaison to Training Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Undergraduate degree (architecture or engineering preferred) and 5+ years of experience in an architectural/interiors/planning/engineering or similar practice environment.
- High-level of proficiency modeling and drafting utilizing Autodesk Revit (All Disciplines), including the ability to administer, install, configure, and set up the application.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Autodesk Revit, and a general aptitude and comfort level with training and technical support, both one-on-one and in-group settings.
- The ability to learn and transition between applications such as FARO Scene, Newforma, AutoCAD, 3DStudioMAX Design, Navisworks, SketchUp, Rhino, and others.
- A general familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications.
- LEED Accreditation and professional licensure is a plus
- Experience in employing adult learning and participatory training techniques
- Fluent English and proven ability to write reports is required;
- Experience in adult learning instructional methodologies;
- Polished Professional demeanor and appearance

- Ability to complete full training cycle
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning styles and strategies.
- Knowledge of diverse populations, including programs serving professionals at different academic levels
