Position Title: Study Nurse (Temporary)

Job Purpose: Temporary (One month and a half)

The holder of the position will be responsible for supporting data collection on a project on universal health coverage in Kenya. This is a short-term assignment.

Reports To: Study PI / PhD researcher.

Direct Reports: None

Financial Responsibility: None

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of supervisor to:

  • Administer surveys using software such as Open Data Kit, Redcap, or other software.
  • Assist in organising and coordinating data collection workshops.
  • Generate data collection reports.

Criteria:

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • At least three years’ experience working as a nurse at health facility or research setting such as a clinical trial.
  • Valid membership with Nursing Council

Desirable Criteria / Skills

  • Knowledge of the Kenyan health system and universal health coverage.
  • Experience in collecting quantitative data preferably using software such as open data kit, Redcap or other software.
  • Basic knowledge of research methods, statistics, or health economics.

Physical Environment / Conditions:

This position will be entirely based in Nairobi and with field work within the Nairobi County.
