Position Title: Internal Quality Auditor

Colour Labels Limited which commenced its operations in the printing and packaging industry in the year 1979 and being in operations for more than 40 years strives to be the leading supplier of high-quality printing and packaging products through improved innovation and diversification with the aim to provide a greater product offering is looking for qualified ladies and gents to fill positions of Internal Quality Auditors.

The role will be based in our HQ in Nairobi Industrial area Nanyuki Road.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
  • Assist in development of audit plans, audit schedules
  • Participate in quality audits (and lead a team of quality auditors, when needed)
  • Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist audit team in developing audit reports; present audit reports to top management, as needed
  • Assist with follow-up audits, as required
  • May be required to develop internal auditing/testing parameters
  • Support every aspect of internal audit quality system program from audit planning, implementation, feedback, and re-audit as required.
  • Develop training modules for various quality process sections.
  • Identify areas requiring training and ensure gaps are filled within given time frame.
  • Collaborate with supervisors for performance enhancement of least performing employees.
  • Identify, estimate, and correct deviations and defects in quality system process.
  • Configure management required audits and perform customer staging.
  • Inspect, monitor, record and report quality data for production and incoming Inspection activities to assist in operations.
  • Prepare documents to return material to vendors and interact across production and engineering to help resolve quality issues.
  • Inspect incoming materials and develop defective material notices.
  • Prepare list of deviations for correction and verify corrections as per established company standards.
  • Enhance quality across organization and provide stable performance to customers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree is required. Must be a certified quality auditor in good standing
  • Two (2) or more years of internal auditing experience is desirable.
  • Must have an eye for detail and above-average analytical ability.
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are a must.
  • Must have solid experience with auditing tools (e.g., control charts, Ishikawa diagrams).
  • Need exceptional listening, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a diverse team of auditors.
