Our client a leading manufacturing company is looking to hire a Finance Manager who will be tasked with day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports in order to assess the financial performance of the business and assist the business in implementing efficient and diligent financial practices.

The finance manager is heavily involved in the day-to-day of the company accounts with the responsibility of making observations of the financial state of the Company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of financial performance reporting by producing Management and financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc. Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly Balance sheet, P&L, Cash Flow
  • Ensure all financial transactions and data are recorded and coded accurately
  • Serve as primary contact for banks and perform bank reconciliations and drive effective working capital
  • Statutory reporting and management including managing statutory returns e.g. PAYE, NHIF, NSSF, Corporate tax, HELB, VAT and, other taxes
  • Preparation of payroll & all statutory deductions on iTax and KRA systems and ensuring compliance.
  • Enhance internal compliance procedures in place.
  • Lead financial modeling to support key pricing and investment decisions for current and new product and service offerings
  • Prepare periodic invoicing run to achieve payment runs.
  • Assist with providing information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Ad Hoc duties and support to the broader team.
  • Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting and management of budget cycles and annual operations plans
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to drive the business performance of the organization including preparation of schedules from management accounts.
  • Development of New Systems and processes to bring down cost and improve profits.
  • Preparation of supporting documentation for internal and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure proper filing and record management of all finance records
  • Providing insights and opportunities to grow company profitability through analytics
  • Inspire finance team and grow talents through Coaching, mentoring etc. and thus create one amazing and highly engaged finance team.
  • Fixed Asset Reporting including managing stock takes and asset verification

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from a reputable university. Masters an added advantage
  • Must be a member of ICPAK
  • At-least 5 years’ experience in a busy environment like an audit firm
  • Hands on experience with i-tax system
  • ERP Competency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Data Analysis, Ms. Word, Power Point.
  • A good grasp of all the statutory requirements.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail, Excellent Analytical skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and have ability to meet on the set deadlines.
