Our Client, The leading and the most innovative paint company in East Africa providing tailor-made solutions to the construction and retail segments of the market with innovative products, services, and world-class after-sales support is urgently seeking to hire a talented, and well-organized Human
Resource Manager – Learning and Development.

The successful candidate will effectively manage and coordinate learning and development programs to optimally utilize human resources and drive organizational development initiatives by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design training programs that are aligned to company objectives and strategies
  • Ensure training policies are implemented, evaluated, and reviewed.
  • Advise on correct interpretation and implementation of human resource learning and development policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Ensure training and development processes are linked with strategic direction, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Train, induct and orient new employees and coach managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and order supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Co-ordinate industrial attachment programs as per the laid down requirements from the national industrial training authority.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate industrial education from external institutions aimed at improving the corporate image.
  • Coordinate development and implementation of performance management systems.
  • Develop and implement talent management & succession planning
  • Responsible for the section budget.
  • Conduct training needs assessment and implement solutions to address identified gaps.
  • Participate in the implementation of EHS / ISO and good housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned as per business needs

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or any other related field from a recognized institution.
  • CHRP, Higher Diploma in HR is an added advantage
  • Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in Learning and Development
