Position Title: Programs Assistant

Our client is a consultancy firm that supports institutions and organized groups interested in contributing to the field of social impact.

They seek to hire a Programs Assistant.

The individual will be mandated to conduct research and analyze data for the delivery of client assignments.

They will also provide administrative support to the Lead Consultant and coordinate events, meetings and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop client proposals, concept papers and respond to tenders and Expression of Interest (EoIs)
  • Manage client engagements and client communication
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data
  • Conduct research and submit reports on the same
  • Coordinate client and project meetings logistics
  • Take notes, draft minutes and keep track of key action points from meetings
  • Coordinate external engagements; from speaking engagements to other external meetings
  • Manage the executive office expenses and submit reports on the same
  • Coordinate travel and training logistics
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage general correspondence and provide direct administrative support.

Person’s Specifications

  • Possess great research and data analysis skills
  • Has demonstrable experience writing proposals, reports and taking minutes
  • Has great event and meeting planning skills
  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
  • 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a Program Assistant or Executive Assistant
  • Flexible and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and changing environment
  • Possess great communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Has storytelling ability and passion for Africa and its potential
  • Extensive knowledge of Google Suite (G Suite) and Ms Office
  • Has experience in project management and administration
  • Attentive to details, resilient, self-driven, innovative and an analytical thinker
  • A background in AIESEC, SIFE, Junior Achievement, Rotaract club/Rotary or any activity that displays passion, creativity, initiative and greatness will be an added advantage.
